Inspections on New Homes
I often get asked if it is necessary for Buyers to have a building inspection done on a new home. After all the home is new, right? What can be wrong with the home? The home looks great, the city inspector has passed all the building stages and has issued an occupancy permit. Plus, don't forget the home comes with a home warranty.
While all of those things are good, it is important to have an inspection done. In this video I interviewed Jan Stuehler of Lighthouse Home Inspection, a local building inspector in Victoria BC to discuss what he looks for in new home construction and common things that are missed during the building stage.
